Activision Aware of PS3 Freezing Issues in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Working on a Fix

Earlier this week, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare received a new update (1.06) on PlayStation 3, which addressed “connectivity and DLC problems,” but nothing else.

One major problem people have been affected by since launch of Advanced Warfare on PS3 is constant freezing, prompting people to post about it on the Call of Duty forums. In response to one particular person, Activision Support confirmed that the problem is known:

Have you attempted to re-install your game? Are you freezing during MP games? The MP freezes are known. The developers are working hard to resolve the freezing issues… We understand the frustrations that arise with the continued freezing and we ask that you please be patient as we wait for more updates to come down the line.

Another reply saw Activision Support saying, “We have been told that Connection Troubleshooting has helped with this issue.”

There’s no timetable for a fix to this issue, but new updates for Advanced Warfare are in the works right now, with Daily Challenges among the upcoming additions.

Meanwhile, if you’ve been experiencing problems online today, the Advanced Warfare Status Page says the PlayStation 4 and PS3 versions are at Defcon 4, explaining that “brief interruptions may occur due to maintenance or issues at external service providers.”

Have you experienced any freezing with your copy of Advanced Warfare?
