PlanetSide 2 PS4 closed beta participants might get something more than just playing Sony Online Entertainment’s shooter ahead of everyone else.
Speaking to PlayStation LifeStyle, PlanetSide 2 Executive Producer Clint Worley confirmed that the studio has “discussed” the possibility of rewarding beta players; though nothing has been set in stone just yet.
Worley also confirmed that SOE will do a full wipe of all player data at the end of the beta test, to make sure no one player has an advantage over the other.
We plan to do a full wipe of all player data at the end of the Beta phase, which will allow everyone to start at a level playing field at launch. We really appreciate the feedback from those that participate in Beta and have discussed the possibility of rewarding beta players, but there aren’t any concrete plans at this time.
Hopefully, those who signed up have all received their codes and fragging away. If not, you might want to check out the other bits of info Worley confirmed, such as a tutorial level, and even the final game’s file size.
