Infinity Runner Races to PS4 Later This Month, Includes Optional DualShock 4 Motion Controls

Priced at $6.99/€6.99/£4.99, and running at 1080p/60fps, Wales Interactive (Soul Axiom) have announced that Infinity Runner is releasing for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 21 in North America and April 22 in Europe.

A “first-person, sci-fi action running game,” Infinity Runner puts you in the shoes of a prisoner who is challenged to escape a decaying, gargantuan spaceship. Using moves inspired by parkour and mixed martial arts, there’s combat sections where you use a dynamic targeting system that calls for fast reflect combinations.

The description adds:

In Infinity Runner, you’ll find yourself desperately trying to escape a decaying starship and the clutches of terror within. Deep inside this leviathan something terrible hunts… out of myth and legend the last werewolf stalks the ship. Unluckily for you, not only will you have to deal with the prospect of being hunted down and torn apart, but also you’ll bump into some of the last inhabitants of the ship, which will require the skills of those reasonably priced mixed martial arts lessons you picked up last summer. Did I forget to mention you’ll be doing all this butt naked?

If you don’t feel like using buttons, Infinity Runner takes advantage of the DualShock 4’s motion controls, meaning you can jump, slide, and dodge by flicking or tilting the controller.

As Ben Tester of Wales Interactive adds, “This is our best version of the game yet with improved visuals, better gameplay, and a reduced price from the current PC version.”

You can also expect a total of 56 Trophies to unlock on PS4, including a Platinum.
