Japanese Sales Chart: Splatoon is #1, PS Vita Outsells PS4

While The Witcher 3 was able to fend off Splatoon in the UK last week, it couldn’t do the same in Japan.

Moving 144,000 copies, the new Wii U title finished first in Japan, with Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX on 3DS debuting in second at 41,000. The Witcher 3 managed to place in third by moving another 22,000 units though, putting it well ahead of Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition in fourth.

Thanks to Splatoon, the Wii U jumped to #1 in hardware, while the PS Vita and PlayStation 4 finished in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
