Pirated Game Assets Reached $74,000,000,000 in 2014 According to Cybersecurity Company

It’s no secret that games get pirated all time, but the sheer amount of money lost by game developers and game publishers for all of those pirated titles is staggering.

Thanks to data compiled by Arxan Technologies, it has been revealed that in 2014, “the unmonetized value of pirated games reached $74,000,000,000.” Not only that, but it is expected that by the end of 2015, the amount of assets pirated in that year will reach 1.96 million. Assets include games, software, and digital media.
