The cameras will soon start to roll for the Assassin’s Creed movie production, and we’ve been given a tease of Aguilar, the titular assassin played by Michael Fassbender.
Fassbender, known for the X-Men movies, as well as Prometheus and Inglourious Basterds, will be playing a new assassin who has not yet featured in the video game series.
Rather than simply copy and pasting the story of the original Assassin’s Creed game, the movie will instead tell the story of Callum Lynch as he discovers his ancestor, Aguilar, and attempts to combat the Templar forces in 15th Century Spain and the present day.
Here’s a full-size shot, courtesy of Yahoo. Notice the dark outfit and two blades which Fassbender’s hands hover over. We’ll get to see those claim some victims when the film releases December 21, 2016.
What do you make of Fassbender’s look? Are you looking forward to seeing the Assassin’s Creed movie or do you think it will be a train wreck like past games-to-movie adaptations?
