Rainbow Six Siege to Launch With 11 Maps, Will Offer More as Free DLC

When Rainbow Six Siege launches on December 1, it will come with 11 maps that will be playable during both the game’s night and day segments.

Originally, Level Designer Benoit Deschamps mentioned in an interview with PC Gamer that there would be 10 maps, saying that more were planned. However, after IGN ran a story on it, Ubisoft reached out to say that there will actually be 11 maps, and more will launch as free DLC.

At launch, Rainbow Six Siege will have 11 maps, playable both day or night, all using the full potential of our Real Blast destruction technology. In addition, all post-launch maps will be downloadable for free. We want players to stay with us for the long term and have ambitious post-launch plans that we will detail at a later stage.

What do you think of the Rainbow Six Siege launch and post-launch map plans? Reminder: The Rainbow Six Siege beta starts on September 28.
