Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Season Pass DLC Includes Re-Imagined Maps From World at War & Black Ops

Update:

Activision confirmed to Game Informer that Black Ops 3 on PS3 and Xbox 360 won’t be getting a Season Pass.

As well, the availability of the post-launch map packs may vary on PS3/360, with more details expected at a later date.

Original Story:

Thanks to a listing on the Xbox Store, we now know the $49.99 Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Season Pass will include some re-imagined maps from past Call of Duty games:

The Call of Duty: Black Ops III Season Pass delivers 4 epic DLC map packs in 2016 with all-new multiplayer content, including re-imagined fan-favorite maps from Call of Duty: World at War and the Call of Duty: Black Ops series, plus thrilling Treyarch Zombies content, all for one great price.

While we don’t know if it extends to PlayStation 3, the Xbox Store also confirms the Xbox 360 version won’t be getting the Season Pass.

“Season Pass and The Giant Zombies bonus map are not available on Xbox 360,” the description says.

Even if the Season Pass doesn’t come to PS3, we still may see map packs on their own. Thanks to Sony’s new deal with Activision, we’ll be able to play “new multiplayer map packs first on PlayStation,” with the timed exclusivity lasting for 30 days on each pack. However, DLC map packs aren’t mentioned anywhere on the PS3 version’s PlayStation Store page.

The Nuketown bonus map (along with the single-player campaign and 60fps gameplay) isn’t available for PS3/360, but PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC gamers will be able to play it by pre-ordering Black Ops 3. You can watch a quick clip in the above promo trailer from GameStop.
