Japanese Sales Chart: 3DS Sales Skyrocket to Defeat the PS4

Ending the PlayStation 4’s lengthy streak atop the Japanese hardware chart, the New Nintendo 3DS LL sold a whopping 106,000 units last week to finish in 1st, while the PS4 was pushed to 2nd with 27,000 sold.

The reason for the big upswing was Monster Hunter X, which debuted to 1.49 million in sales, easily beating other new releases like Hyperdimension Neptunia VS Sega Hard Girls: Dream Fusion Special on PlayStation Vita in 6th and Criminal Girls 2 on Vita in 8th.
