It was a tough week for new releases, with both Just Cause 3 and Rainbow Six Siege placing outside the top 3, debuting in 4th and 6th, respectively.
Taking a closer look at those two new games, Just Cause 3’s week 1 was 46% higher than Just Cause 2. For a platform breakdown, 55% of sales were on PlayStation 4, 43% on Xbox One, and 2% on PC.
As for Rainbow Six Siege, it actually performed better on Xbox One, with 53% of sales on Microsoft’s platform, 47% on PS4, and 0% on PC.
The other new release this week, Xenoblade Chronicles X for Wii U, placed in 28th but managed to increase launch week sales 73% over the original Xenoblade Chronicles.
