Former LucasArts creative director Haden Blackman has revealed in an interview with Cinelinx that the cancelled Star Wars Episode 7: Shadows of the Sith game would have put players in the shoes of Luke Skywalker’s son, Ben, as he investigated a threat to the galaxy. He explained:
Episode VII: Shadows of the Sith would have put you in the role of an adult Ben Skywalker who was walking the line between the light and dark sides of the Force, unleashing new Force powers never-before-seen in games or movies as he investigated a new threat to the galaxy (a Solo…).
Blackman later stated that the idea was one of many that were just “short, on-paper pitches” but some of the ideas were used in other Star Wars games like The Force Unleashed.
