Take-Two CEO: We Will Be at E3 2016 “In a Big Way”

The parent company of 2K Games and Rockstar Games, Take-Two will have a big presence at E3 this year.

In an interview with MCV UK, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick talked about a slower 2015, saying, “Our holiday season last financial year was much more robust than our holiday season this year.”

Aiming to get to a point where their release schedule is strong every year, Zelnick added that it’s “gratifying to be able to withstand and overcome ups and downs in the release schedule,” with games like NBA 2K16, WWE 2K16, and Grand Theft Auto V selling well in the previous quarter. “But make no mistake about it,” he continued, “we’re utterly focused on bringing extraordinary franchises, plus new IP, to market on a regular basis, so that we have an interesting and diverse and powerful line-up year-in year-out. While we are a lot closer to that goal than we ever have been, it still remains a bit of a work-in-progress.”

When MCV asked Zelnick if we might see games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Ken Levine’s new project this year, he wouldn’t confirm anything, instead mentioning E3 2016 in June. “We will be there in a big way,” he teased.

Do you think Take-Two will unveil Red Dead Redemption 2, the next Borderlands, or the rumored BioShock Collection at E3?
