From Mass Creation (Draw Slasher, Run Like Hell), Corridor Z is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita tomorrow, May 3, in North America and Europe, complete with cross-buy.
The “most genre refreshing runner in years,” Corridor Z takes place in a high school after it’s quarantined by the military to prevent an outbreak. With survivors barricading themselves in a classroom, the mystery is explained through two parallel story lines.
Producer Artur Gosk talked about the gameplay:
Stylized gory graphics and detailed animations create an angsty backdrop while the vibrant sound effects enrich the auditory experience. Players need to “control” the pursuit while running toward the camera — wield guns, place obstacles, and destroy zombies as you fend off hordes of ferocious zombies and defeat powerful bosses. Above all else, don’t get bitten!
As you progress you’ll unlock special perks, upgrade your weapons, grab story collectibles, and “experience the engaging story full of twists and turns.” You can also unlock a hidden character by completing dozens of objectives, compete with your friends, and try to top the global leaderboards.
A price for Corridor Z wasn’t given.
