The Division Patch 1.3 Delayed on PS4, Special Ammo Getting Nerfed

Ubisoft has announced that The Division patch 1.3, which is due out on June 28, has been delayed on the PlayStation 4. During its State of the Game stream, the developer said that the update isn’t ready to be rolled out for the console but it will have “more news on that very, very soon.” In case you missed it, patch 1.3 will introduce “significant weapons balancing, among other things.”

Speaking of upcoming changes, Ubisoft has revealed that special ammo is going to get nerfed significantly. According to Senior Designer, Fredrik Thylander:

Incendiary ammo lasts for much shorter. The actual burn effect when you hit someone; it lasts for 30 percent of what it used to last for. For explosive ammo, the typical use case that we see a lot is the M44 with some explosive ammo; you’d do like 25,000 damage and then an explosion for 100,000. No longer the case.

So now the explosion will always be for the exact damage that the bullet was–so they always scale 1:1. It’s scaled a little bit differently depending on your build and some other factors.

The Division‘s upcoming expansion, Underground, will release for PS4 on August 2.
