Released in 2013 for PC and mobile, typographic platformer Type:Rider is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on July 12 in North America and Europe, complete with cross-buy.
Playing as two dots, Type:Rider sees you traveling through the ages, uncovering the history and secrets of fonts and characters. “From the rock paintings of prehistoric times to Pixel art of the 2000’s,” the description adds, “solve all the riddles by riding the most popular fonts and characters (Garamond, Helvetica, Times New Roman, Pixel…) in a very captivating musical and visual environment.”
Type:Rider includes 10 different levels – each relating to a specific font – and the PlayStation versions add new exclusive content in the form of a time attack mode, which includes 10 additional levels designed for speed runs. There’s also the ability to play with back touch on PS Vita and with motion on the DualShock 4.
A price wasn’t announced for PlayStation, but Type:Rider is currently $4.99 on Steam.
