UK: PS4 Outsold Xbox One Last Week, PS4 Pro Sold Over 40,000 Units

For the week ending November 12, a combined 110,000 PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles were sold in the UK, GfK has revealed.

According to data seen by MCV and Games Industry, there were over 65,000 PS4s sold during the week – generating nearly £20 million in revenue – with PS4 Pro moving over 40,000 units in its debut. Overall, PS4 sales jumped 204% week-on-week, while sales of the non-PS4 Pro models were up 8.5% week-on-week.

Xbox One sales for the week were up 85% week-on-week to 45,000 units (over £9 million in revenue), thanks to price cuts at various retailers. In total, PS4 sales were 44% higher than Xbox One, with PS4 owning a 53% share of the hardware market, while Xbox One settled for a 37% share.

For comparison, combined PS4 and Xbox One sales in Japan for the week ending November 6 were at 32,200. We’ll know how well PS4 Pro did in Japan on Wednesday.

Do you think PS4 will win November in the UK, after losing to Xbox One in September and October?
