Given that we’re less than two weeks in the new year, we here at PlayStation LifeStyle still has a thing or two that we want to share from last year. One of these things is what gaming thing (game, hardware, etc.) did you buy in 2016 that you regretted?
Check out the staff’s responses below, and don’t forget, some of them got a bad game or two for review, so that particular game might not make their list, but that doesn’t mean they don’t regret reviewing it.
What about you? What did you buy that’s video game-related in 2016 that you regretted? It doesn’t have to be expensive or new, but just something that’s about gaming that made you feel some heavy buyer’s remorse.

I picked up Goldeneye Reloaded for PS3 and it was awful. Not even humorously bad, just dull, uninspired crap.
Robinson: The Journey made me sick almost immediately in PSVR. I regretted buying it at $60 because it's basically unplayable.

Good question. Buyer's remorse? Buying Mafia 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider day one when there were other games that deserved me paying full price. I've already ranted enough about Mafia 3 but if you somehow missed it then it just wasn't the quality I was expecting. As for Tomb Raider, I didn't really enjoy it and I could have waited for a price drop since it was a year-old game, anyway.

For me it was not a game, but the 3DS system. Now, it's not a bad system by any means, but it was a bad purchase for me. I didn't enjoy most of the games I tried, outside of Fire Emblem and it represented a big waste of money. I ended up selling it 2 or 3 months in.

The Division is the one game I bought day one and sold within a week. I sunk about 10 hours into it, but it got to the point where mustering the will to play became a slog. Not exactly the kind of feeling you wanna have booting up the PS4.
So yeah, no bueno.

I came away unscathed this year from buyer's remorse with gaming. I'm sure 2017 will make up for lost time.

Not regret from a bad purchase, but one that was way too good. I bought Overwatch thinking that my wife and I would enjoy playing it together. She's now 100 levels above me and I rarely see her anymore. Please Blizzard, can I just have my wife back?

Honestly? Nothing since I rarely buy games unless I know I really, really want it. And I don't have enough time to actually finish all the games that I have, so I usually have a good grasp if a game is good or not minus the hype.
Yeah, not the answer you're looking for, eh?

As I play games primarily on PC, I was looking for a good keyboard and mouse combo for the PlayStation 4. I thought Hori's T.A.C.4 would be a good buy, but I was wrong!
