ARK: Survival Evolved Has Sold More Than One Million Copies on PS4

The best-selling game through the PlayStation Store in both December 2016 and January 2017, ARK: Survival Evolved has sold more than one million copies on PlayStation 4 since its December 6 release, Studio Wildcard announced today.

Development director Jeremy Steiglitz said, “We want to say a big THANK YOU to all the fans who have supported us as we march toward completion of this epic game. The community is the key part of what makes ARK an exciting, dynamic experience and keeps survivors coming back for more!”

If you haven’t booted up ARK: Survival Evolved yet today, a 5.5GB patch is now live. It includes third-person mode, new dinos, Tek Tier Phase 1, and much more. “Players wanting TEK Tier loot will need to gather the newly introduced Element resource, which is granted after successfully completing Boss Arenas,” Studio Wildcard explained. “Each Boss now has three difficulty levels (easy, medium, hard) and after defeating the respective Boss are awarded with unique TEK Knowledge engrams, element and other general Boss Rewards. Collect the Element, then use the TEK Replicator to craft all TEK items.”

To celebrate crossing one million sold, ARK: Survival Evolved is $43.99 USD (20% off) in North America until February 21. In Europe, the Survivor’s Pack (game and DLC), Founder’s Edition (game), and Scorched Earth DLC are all 20% off for PlayStation Plus members until February 21.

This spring, ARK: Survival Evolved will release as a final product and be available physically. The price will also raise to $59.99 USD regularly at that time.
