Update: The DiRT Rally discount is live in North America, a day ahead of schedule. Until February 21, the main game is $29.99 USD and the PlayStation VR bundle is $43.39 USD, and PlayStation Plus members can get them for $23.99 USD and $37.09 USD, respectively.
Original Story: Codemasters has announced that the DiRT Rally PlayStation VR DLC is now available to download through the PlayStation Store for $12.99 USD/£9.99. If you don’t own DiRT Rally already, a special PlayStation VR Bundle that includes the game, PSVR DLC, and the three Fully Loaded DLC packs is available now for £39.99 in Europe until February 27, and for $43.39 USD in North America from February 18 to 28.
“Whether it be racing through the forests of Finland, climbing the iconic Pikes Peak International Hill Climb course, or going bumper-to-bumper with other supercars in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, you can do it all with your PlayStation VR headset on,” Codemasters explained about the DLC. “Every track, stage, car, and discipline is available for PSVR users — there’s nothing off-limits when it comes to immersing yourself in DiRT’s off-road racing world.”
Additionally, the PSVR DLC includes a new co-driver mode where “a second player can become engrossed in the action as they use the buttons and touchpad on a DualShock 4 to give the pace note calls to the driver from the social screen.” At the end of each stage, you’ll be given an accuracy rating.
The PSVR DLC is also fully optimized for PS4 Pro, meaning you’ll “literally be able to see the difference with the graphical improvements it brings — so those of you with the hardware can enjoy the benefits of your PS4 Pro.”
A special retail version of DiRT Rally with the PSVR DLC is available in select stores.
Nothing’s confirmed yet, but DiRT 4 could receive PSVR support after launch.
