Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Officially Goes Gold, April 25 Release Date Confirmed

CI Games, developer of the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series, has announced that Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, the third and biggest entry into the series, has now gone gold. This milestone ostensibly confirms and locks the game’s release date next month.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 was originally scheduled for release on January 27, 2017, but was delayed to April 4, 2017 in October, and then further delayed this month to April 25, 2017. Now that the game has gone gold, fans of the series will no longer have to worry about any further delays.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, which was originally announced in December of 2014, is the biggest and most ambitious project for the studio. Unlike the series’ previous titles that had a more linear style of gameplay, Ghost Warrior 3 will feature an open world which players can explore freely.

The game is also the first title in the series to feature a AAA production effort, with a bigger budget and scale than its predecessors. New elements in the game include side missions and activities, a drone gadget, more complex movement and navigation for the character, and more.
