Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Release Date Delayed to April 2017

Previously set for a 2016 release, before being delayed to January 2017 back in June, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has suffered another delay and is now launching on April 4, 2017, CI Games announced today.

Using the extra time to optimize Ghost Warrior 3 based on testing and fan feedback, CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński adds that they want to make sure the game runs smoothly on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC:

We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans. Our goal is to ensure Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 runs smoothly on all platforms, and right now we still have some important work left on optimizing the game. This is our biggest project we’ve ever worked on and the entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished. I really hope everyone will understand our decision and will wait the extra time to play something we’re excited about, and that will redefine our IP and the sniping genre as a whole. This is a new beginning for the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series.

In Ghost Warrior 3, you play as American Sniper Jonathan North, who is dropped into northern Georgia, near the Russian border to find his brother. Along with large open-world maps, dynamic weather, and a day/night cycle, you’ll also find customizable weapon equipment, accessories, vehicles, and a drone.
