Sledgehammer Games Reiterates That This Year’s Call of Duty Is Its “Biggest Game-Making Project”

If you’ve been following Sledgehammer Games then you’ll probably be aware of the studio’s expansion efforts, which not only include hiring new staff but also expanding its office space. The team has published several blog posts tracking its progress and in the latest entry yesterday, it briefly talked about the upcoming Call of Duty title.

“This year, we will release our biggest game-making project to date,” reiterated the developer. “We are extremely excited to reveal it to the world and to you, our HammerHeads.” We’re also told that the game is “moving full-speed ahead” alongside the construction of Sledgehammer’s new office space.

Back in March, rumors of a World War II setting for the next Call of Duty emerged from various credible sources. While we still don’t have any confirmation from Activision or even a trailer, we’re expecting to see something soon. If not before E3, the game will certainly make an appearance at the event.
