Friday the 13th: The Game Release Date Finally Nailed Down

After a few delays, Gun Media’s Friday the 13th: The Game video game finally has a firm release date! According to the press release, the Friday the 13th: The Game release date will be this May 26, 2017 for all platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC) for $40.

To commemorate this moment, a new trailer has also been released and as one can expect, franchise mascot Jason Vorhees makes an appearance, and he brings the violence with him as always.

The game will launch with multiplayer-only game play allowing players for the very first time to take on the role of Jason Voorhees in his various incarnations throughout the storied franchise spanning three decades! This 1v7 asymmetric multiplayer title will pit Jason against seven counselors as they try to survive in three maps spanning Camp Crystal Lake, Higgins Haven and Packanack Lodge.

Prepared to be Jason and kill horny teens that do stupid things? Yeah, I know I am. Let’s hope the final game is up to snuff (heh). You can check out four-minutes of gameplay right here.
