The next game from Arc System Works’ is an all-star affair. Called BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, the 2D fighter will feature characters from BlazBlue, Persona, RWBY, and Under Night In-Birth. Not much is known about the game, as it was just unveiled at EVO 2017, but we do know that it’ll be a two-on-two affair. It’s also set to release sometime in 2018.

As can be seen in the trailer, five characters are currently confirmed for the crossover. They are the protagonists of each respective series: Persona 4‘s Yu Narukami, BlazBlue‘s Ragna the Bloodedge and his brother Jin Kisaragi, RWBY‘s Ruby Rose, and Under Night In-Birth‘s Hyde. Artwork for all four characters were also released, and can be seen over at 4Gamer.
Arc System Works is also behind the upcoming Dragon Ball FighterZ, although that fighting game is being developed by the Japanese studio’s Guilty Gear team. BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is being developed by the BlazBlue team, and it marks the first time that Arc System Works has collaborated with RWBY. They previously worked on two Persona fighting games for PlayStation 3, and published Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late in Japan.
BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is set to release in 2018. We’ll have more on the newly announced title as it becomes available.
