This Week's PlayStation Plus Specials recommendations
-
Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition Duke Nukem Bundle
Price: $39.99
Why: If you're looking for a good time then People Can Fly's Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition will provide just that. The hilarious shooter provides plenty of laughs (although the addition of Duke Nukem falls flat), and the action feels great thanks to the game rewarding players for stylish kills.
-
BlazBlue Central Fiction
Price: $17.99
Why: BlazBlue Central Fiction provides the ending to BlazBlue's sprawling story, and is a fantastic fighting game to boot. At 70% off, it's also a great opportunity to get familiar with the cast of characters before BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle releases next year.
-
Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku!
Price: $27.99
Why: RPG fans looking for something off the beaten path will want to check out NIS America's Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku!. This charming action-RPG features dozens of bite-sized levels, and a great Sengoku theme as well.
-
Flinthook
Price: $11.99
Why: Tribute Games' Flinthook is a fantastic 2D metroidvania with a great grappling mechanic. It's challenge is immense, but those that grab the game for 20% off will be glad they did.
-
For Honor
Price: $29.99
Why: It's surprising to see For Honor 50% off already. The Ubisoft developed multiplayer-focused melee combat game provided a really unique experience when it launched earlier this year. Longevity might be a factor, but at $29.99 you can probably convince some friends to buy in as well.
-
Persona 5
Price: $47.99
Why: Persona 5 is the best role-playing game released this year so far, and anyone that hasn't jumped in yet should pick it up at 20% off. If $47.99 is a bit too high, know that it's also available on PS3 for $39.99.
-
Tekken 7
Price: $47.99
Why: Did you miss purchasing Tekken 7 at launch, but the temptation of Geese Howard DLC is simply too much for you? Then picking up the newly released fighting game for 20% off is a great choice.
-
The King of Fighters XIV
Price: $29.99
Why: The King of Fighters XIV was a great surprise when it released last year, and now it's 50% off. It plays (and looks) even better than when we reviewed it, as SNK spent a lot of time making sure the game lives up to its potential.
-
What Remains of Edith Finch
Price: $14.99
Why: Looking for a memorable experience? What Remains of Edith Finch will certainly provide that. Giant Sparrow's latest game is an emotional journey, and one that can be played in just a few hours.
-
Yakuza 0
Price: $41.99
Why: My third favorite game of 2017 so far, Yakuza 0 is a fantastic starting point for anyone looking to get into Sega's fantastic action series. Featuring a fantastic localization, it's one of the funniest games of the year, and might make you wear out your DualShock 4's share button. With Yakuza Kiwami's release right around the corner, that 30% off should look awfully tempting.
