Friday the 13th: The Game’s Upcoming Content Includes New Jason, New Map, and More

Gun Media has updated the official website for Friday: the 13th: The Game, teasing some of its upcoming content, ranging from a new playable Jason to a new map, and outfits.

While Illfonic is keeping details under wraps, we’re told that the new Jason will come with unique kills, and that the new map “is ripped straight from the films.” Although there are several maps in development, this one is coming “sooner than you might think.”

Two new counselors are also on their way alongside new clothing packs. Then, we’ll get the recently announced free emotes, which Illfonic describes as follows:

Dying to talk to players, but don’t have a mic? Perhaps Jason is near and you want to remain quiet, yet communicate with a nearby player? Good news…

We’re adding 8 free communication emotes along with a fancy new in-game HUD/UI. Players will be able to select emotes per counselor and assign them to our new in-game UI. Now you can wave at Jason…just before he kills you.

We’ll update our readers when we have more info.

Despite its issues, Friday the 13th: The Game has managed to sell about two million copies since its release. A single-player mode and physical version is set for release at the end of the summer and in October, respectively.
