Ace Combat 7 Gets a New Trailer at Gamescom 2017

Ace Combat 7 Gamescom Trailer

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has uploaded a new trailer for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, which is to be shown at gamescom 2017 this week in Cologne, Germany. This trailer gives more details on the background story of the war between the Osean Federation and the Kingdom of Erusea in the Strangereal world which has been one of the staples of Ace Combat series. We learn one of the main reasons why Erusea declared war on Osea here.

The following is what has been written by Bandai Namco on the video description:

The Osean Federation hasn’t respected the nation’s sovereignty by forcing construction of its giant space elevator on the Erusea’s territory. Princess Rosa Cossette D’Elise of the Kingdom of Erusea encouraged her citizens to fight and chaos started from that moment on. But the Osean Federation has many experienced pilots in their ranks.

For more on Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, check out some PlayStation VR gameplay footage, and read what Digital Foundry had to say about its technical performance:

In their analysis of this early version of the game (beginning at 4:30 and running on a base PS4), Digital Foundry revealed that the frame-rate is uncapped and ran anywhere from 32fps to 60fps in their 30 minutes. According to them, Kono said he feels “the benefit of enhanced visuals outweighs the need for a consistent 60 frames-per-second here.”

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown was originally planned to be released in 2017, but unfortunately, it had to be delayed to 2018. It will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A demo of the game is also available to play at gamescom.
