Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX Gets New Screenshots

Sega has released a brand new set of screenshots for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX to showcase the game’s new “Ghost Rule” song (music and lyrics by DECO * 27), its accompanying “Ghost” module (designed by Hachizou), the “Celebration” Hatsune Miku 10th anniversary commemoration module (designed by Mari Shimakazi), and the recently announced song “Suna no Wakusei feat. Hatsune Miku” (song by Hachi).

The game is scheduled to come out in Japan on November 22 and will include all the paid DLC from Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone including 127 songs from Future Sound, 95 songs from Colorful Tone, and 12 songs from the three Encore Pack DLC. Considering the amount of content that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone offers, it really had the potential to be a standout game. Instead, it’s only a paradise for hardcore fans as anyone else will likely grow tired of going through the extremely long tracklist. There’s very few hooks to grab the player’s attention, and unless you love the high score grind then there really isn’t much here. No story is being told like in Elite Beat Agents, and there’s not the slightest sense of progression as in Guitar Hero. Give Future Tone a go if you’re a Miku fan, but don’t be surprised if you find out that bigger isn’t always better.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX will launch for PlayStation 4 on November 22 in Japan in both standard and limited editions.
