It was reported back in October that Night in the Woods would be getting a huge update in December, and that days is upon us. As of the time of this writing, the Weird Autumn Edition of Night in the Woods should be officially live and ready for players to experience. Taking to the game’s Twitter account, the folks behind the game made sure to remind players to start a brand new game if they didn’t want any “weird” problems occurring in their previous save state.
ATTENTION: NIGHT IN THE WOODS WEIRD AUTUMN EDITION will release at 1pm EST. If you already own NITW you are advised to start a brand new game or else things might get a bit WEIRD. Like weird in a bad way. Bad weird.

The update, for those who don’t know, will act as a director’s cut of the game, in a way. New content ranging from “new weird,” “new crimes,” and “old tales” have been teased, including the fact that it will be the complete edition of the game. For the announcement trailer of the update, check out below to check out what players can expect in the recently released update:
The Weird Autumn Edition update may be out now, but that’s not the only thing coming to the game. Next year, two other supplemental games will be updated into Night in the Woods, including Longest Night and Lost Constellation. No word on what those will be or how they’ll function just yet, though.
Night in the Woods is available now.
