Mimir is Narrating the God of War Audiobook

It looks like our old pal Mimir’s career is taking off. While he spent the majority of this year’s God of War belting out exposition and lore as Kratos paddled about in his infamous boat, the mythological, disembodied head is moving on to bigger and better things. After all, a sequel is undoubtedly on the way, but won’t be happening for a while. In a tweet today, director Cory Barlog announced Alastair Duncan will be providing his Mimir voice for the God of War novelization audiobook, which is coming out on August 28, 2018.

That’s the same day the novel itself comes out, which was written, oddly enough, by Cory Barlog’s father, J.M. Barlog. If you’re feeling squirrely, you can pick that up in addition to the novel tie-in to Marvel’s Spider-Man, which is called Hostile Takeover, and available now.

In other  Mimir news, the “smartest man in all the realms” has also submitted his bid to Geoff Keighley for a role in this year’s The Game Awards. Knowing how these things typically go, I would honestly be shocked if, at the very least, Alastair Duncan doesn’t end up involved with the show somehow.

Considering how tough it is to get around when you’re just a head, Mimir is doing pretty well for himself.
