Assassins Creed Valhalla Difficulty Settings

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Next Update Will Also Add More Combat, Stealth and Exploration Difficulty Settings

When title update 1.4.1 arrives for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla next week, its main purpose will be data restructuring to make it easier for Ubisoft to add future content and game updates. That’s not all it does, though. Ubisoft has also explained some of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla combat, stealth and exploration difficulty settings that will be added in the update to give players more options as they make their way through Viking Britain.

The new customisation options allow players to fine-tune combat and stealth timing, as well as how difficult players want to make exploration. As well as the new difficulty options, there will be a handful of bug fixes for stealth too. The full list of options that players will have after title update 1.4.1 and the bug fixes it will include is below.

Combat

• Aim Assist (Full, Moderate, Light, Off)

• Level Scaling (Off, Default, Constant, Harder, Nightmarish)

• *NEW* Parry timing-window (400, 650, 800 ms)

• *NEW* Brush with Death timing-window (300, 400, 600 ms)

• *NEW* Brush with Death Duration (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 sec)

Stealth

• Guaranteed Assassination (ON/OFF)

• *NEW* Detection escape (0.5, 1, 2 sec)

• *NEW* Detection escape while aiming (1, 2, 4 sec)

• *NEW* Search duration (50, 65, 80 sec)

• *NEW* Maximum enemies in search (2,3)

Exploration

• Closest Opportunity (ON/OFF)

• Icon Distance (OFF/ON)

• *NEW* Viewpoint Synchronization (ON/OFF)

• *NEW* Exploration Beams (Limited/Full)

• *NEW* Unguided Objectives (OFF/ON)

Stealth Fixes

• Improved instances where NPCs could detect players when vision between the player and NPCs is obstructed.

• Reduced the hold time and speed restriction when blending with crowds.

• Resolved some issues that caused players to be instantly detected when they should not have been.

Title update 1.4.1 will be released at some point next week, although Ubisoft had promised more details on its release date soon. The patch will reduce the game’s file size on all platforms, but it does mean players will have to redownload the entire game.

There are rumors some of the future content for which the patch is preparing will be revealed at tonight’s The Game Awards. As always, we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear anything more.
