Far Cry 6 DLC Joseph: Collapse has gotten a new release date for next week, a month earlier than originally planned. The third and final DLC expansion to be included in the game’s Season Pass will be a roguelite that focuses on Far Cry 5‘s villain Joseph Seed and the inner workings of his tyrannical mind. The problem is that if the trophies are of any indication, the DLC seems to be very similar to the two that have gone before it.
When will the Joseph: Collapse DLC be released?
Far Cry 6 Joseph: Collapse will be released on February 8. The DLC episode was originally due to be released in March and has been brought forward for unknown reasons. However, the new release date does coincide with a sale on PlayStation Store where both the standard and Gold Editions of the game can be found at 40% off. The Gold Edition includes the Season Pass (featuring the earlier Vaas: Insanity and Pagan: Control DLCs as well as Joseph: Collapse) and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon – Classic Edition. Players in North America can also get 20% off the Season Pass itself, although this offer doesn’t seem to extend to the European store.

The roguelite DLC episode sends players deep into the mind and world of Joseph as they investigate how he became the leader of a fanatical cult, all while assuming the role of the villain. There will be perks to unlock, new weapons to find, and plenty of collectibles to locate if the trophy list on TrueTrophies is anything to go by. The only catch is that every time Joseph dies, players will need to start all over again albeit with knowledge that will help to progress quicker and further every time.
The DLC will add 10 trophies to the game’s current list. Those wanting to complete the list will need to explore all areas of the DLC, grab all of the collectibles, and replay the DLC enough times to unlock all of the weapons and Joseph’s traits. You can see the full list below:

In other news, a new studio called Gardens has been formed by ex-developers of titles like Journey and What Remains of Edith Finch. In a move away from the focus of those games, Gardens will make multiplayer games with “compelling, novel shared experiences”. Elsewhere, the developer of Godfall, Counterplay Games, is currently working on a brand new IP that will be an action fantasy shooter.
