Making an announcement on the official PlayStation website, Sony confirmed that Bloodhunt will become available on April 27 for PS5, with the gaming also coming to PS4 and PC via Steam. In the announcement, several features that are exclusive to the PS5 version of the game were detailed. These include the ability to render the game at 4K resolution with a frame rate of 30 FPS or switch to 60 FPS with a resolution of 1440p.

Additionally, Bloodhunt will make use of the console’s Tempest 3D Audio engine, providing an immersive sound experience according to the developers. The DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers will both be utilized by the game, something that isn’t possible on other platforms. This means that different weapons react differently, with shotguns providing more recoil than other guns.

Bloodhunt was first shown during the PlayStation Showcase in 2021. Based on the Vampire: The Masquerade universe, it is a battle royale game where players take on the role of a vampire roaming the streets of Prague. The ultimate goal is to be the final vampire standing and characters have a host of supernatural abilities and weapons available for battles. While the game itself is free-to-play, users can pre-order the Founder’s Ultimate Edition. This comes with a large amount of in-game currency and will be available for $59.99.

In other news, lawmakers are pressuring regulators to review Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision, and Sony’s Firesprite studio is currently working on a AAA horror game for PlayStation consoles.
