PS Plus Essential October 2022

PS Plus Essential Games for October 2022 Include Hot Wheels Unleashed

We’re nearing the end of September, and that means it’s time for Sony to reveal the three titles that make up the PS Plus Essential lineup for October 2022. The announcement comes just minutes after Dealabs user billbil-kun leaked two of the games, so they didn’t quite manage to beat him to the punch, but here are all three games coming to the PlayStation Plus Essential lineup next month.

The PS Plus Essential PS5 and PS4 October 2022 Lineup

From Tuesday, October 4, 2022, PS5 players can grab Hot Wheels Unleashed. Meanwhile, PS4 players get their own version of Hot Wheels Unleashedas well as Injustice 2 and Superhot. Hot Wheels Unleashed is an arcade racer set in the Hot Wheels universe with plenty of cars to collect and race. As well as the tracks that ship with the game, players can create their own layouts with a track editor that includes all of the elements you would expect from a Hot Wheels track, like ad loops, special boosters, and obstacles. As well as the single-player modes, there’s local split-screen multiplayer racing for two players or online modes that accommodate 12 players.

Injustice 2 once again brings DC characters into the world of Mortal Kombat where Batman is battling a regime created by Superman, only this time Earth’s existence is in peril in this game’s campaign. The PS Plus version of the game is just the standard edition, meaning there will not be any of the DLC characters or skins included.

Finally, Superhot is a first-person shooter with a difference as time only progresses when the player is moving. Everything freezes when they don’t move. Players need to come up with a strategy to use their limited bullets and the weapons of fallen foes to survive the slowest gun fight you’ll likely ever play.

All three games will be available to redeem until Monday, October 31. With October 4 just six days away, there’s still time to redeem September’s games. Need for Speed Heat, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and Toem all leave the service on October 3. As long as you redeem the games before the expiration date, you can download them at any time as long as you maintain an active PS Plus subscription.
