Sony Interactive Entertainment has surprise-dropped a major PS5 action game into the PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2026 catalog. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by SIE, Helldivers 2 is rolling out on PS Plus today, ahead of the rest of the month’s catalog.

Today’s PS Plus drop coincides with the launch of Helldivers 2: Devoid of Liberty update.
“Getting into the Void presents a unique challenge. High Command has ordered reconnaissance missions to gather as much intel as possible in order to give us an advantage,” Sony wrote. “The planets within the Void’s reach have been altered–strange mutations have left a permanent mark on planets, and intelligence reports suggest that these changes are even more significant the closer the planets are to the Void itself. What lies inside?”

Sony will announce the complete PS Plus Extra and Premium August lineup in a few hours, along with each game’s release schedule. However, we know Premium users will be getting a beloved PS2 classic on August 18.
