It’s almost time for The Game Awards 2022 livestream. The show, which has become the games industry’s biggest annual event, will kick off at 7:30 pm ET / 4:30 pm PT / 12:30 am GMT (Friday, December 9th). According to host Geoff Keighley, this year’s format will be more streamlined, making for a shorter and more concise event. The livestream is embedded below.
The Game Awards 2022 livestream and what to expect
Quite a few announcements from The Game Awards 2022 have leaked already, unfortunately. These include Final Fantasy 16 release date and pre-order information, Street Fighter 6 release date and pre-order information, and Forspoken demo.
Tekken 8’s appearance at the event has already been confirmed and there’s a chance Horizon Forbidden West’s recently-leaked DLC will make an appearance as well. In addition to the above, expect the following:
- A new Hideo Kojima game, possibly Death Stranding 2
- A new game published by 505 Games
- Crash Bandicoot Wumpa league, if this tweet is anything to go by
There are also rumors that Hitman developer IOI’s 007 game will be at the event.
