Kojima Productions is handing out a set of free Death Stranding 2 PSN avatars in all regions to celebrate the game’s reveal and the studio’s seventh anniversary. Called the DS2 BB Pod special avatar set, the freebies can be claimed right now using the codes below.

Death Stranding’s sequel was all but confirmed until The Game Awards 2022, where it was finally announced officially. Corroborating reports, Hideo Kojima confirmed that he started working on the concept a number of years ago but had to re-write the story due to the pandemic. Kojima said that he didn’t want to “predict any more future,” referencing bizarre coincidences that saw some of his games’ themes end up becoming a reality.
Death Stranding 2’s release date has not been announced but speculation suggests that it’ll be a while before the game’s out as some of its cast has just begun motion capture work. Whenever it does release, the highly-anticipated sequel will be a PS5 console exclusive, meaning PS4 players will miss out unless they take the leap to current-gen.
