Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded New Map Too Similar to Bailout Say Players

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded has launched today and one of the new features is a brand new map called Himmelmatt Expo, but players aren’t happy. While the map is supposed to be a brand new layout rather than a reskinned older map, several think the map is too similar to Bailout from the original Modern Warfare 2.

What are the similarities between Himmelmatt Expo and Bailout?

On the surface, the two maps look fairly different. The new Himmelmatt Expo is a 6v6 core Modern Warfare 2 map set in a modern congress center complete with restaurant, pool, sculpture garden, conference room, and roundabout. On the contrary, Bailout was set in an abandoned apartment complex with plenty of connected apartments and parking lots. Players are complaining that the former feels a lot like the latter because of the interlinked buildings and pool area, although these fears do seem unfounded.

Himmelmatt Expo has a completely different map layout to Bailout. Whereas Bailout was an elongated map with plenty of sniper sightlines and individual buildings, Himmelmatt Expo is a more compact map with a single building that takes up about 40% of the map’s area. The good news is that other players are genuinely happy to have received a new map that is not simply a map from a previous Call of Duty game with a new skin.

Other additions that have come with the Season 2 Reloaded update include new game modes, events, and weapons. Meanwhile, a new operator will arrive next week.
