A long-running PS4 multiplayer RPG is shutting down after more than eight years, its publisher has announced. Co-developed by Fallout studio Obsidian Entertainment and Allods Team, 2017’s Skyforge will unplug its console servers this October. The game is also playable on the PS5.
PS4 RPG Skyforge’s trophies might be difficult to obtain ahead of planned shutdown
Publisher My.com announced the news of Skyforge’s closure over on the 4Game forum. The PC version will shut down on September 3, 2025 and the PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch versions will shut down on October 29, 2025.
All microtransactions and paid content will be disabled on the PS Store starting August 4.
“The rightholder has made the decision to discontinue the project on all platforms,” the notice reads. “Further details regarding this decision are not disclosed.”
Skyforge’s communities and social media pages will be nuked following the closure. Special activities are planned in the game’s last month of operation, further details of which will be announced in due course.
Since Skyforge’s PC version is shutting down in September, we’re assuming that the activities will be scheduled for next month.
Skyforge has a pretty notorious trophy list. Those who are on the verge of obtaining the Platinum should prioritize working on that. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough time for anyone else to unlock all the trophies.
