Every year, Sony typically has several PlayStation State of Play presentations, which either reveal tons of new games or focus on one exciting upcoming title. According to a fairly reliable leaker, the next one will be in February.
What could possibly be shown during the February PlayStation State of Play?
In a recent X (formerly Twitter) thread, user @JojoPS971 asked notable leaker NateTheHate if there would be a PlayStation State of Play in February. The leaker simply answered, “There will be, yes.”
Although it is not confirmed, it would not be much of a shock if there was a PlayStation State of Play coming in February, as the company has a history of holding these presentations during that month. Last year, Saros was revealed during the February State of Play. In 2024, we got a look at Death Stranding 2 and Judas. In 2023, trailers for the Resident Evil 4 remake, Destiny 2: Lightfall, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
However, it is important to note that, again, this has not been confirmed by Sony just yet, despite PlayStation State of Play’s history and NateTheHate’s track record. It may move out of February and into March, or some other date.
In terms of what could be shown during a 2026 February PlayStation State of Play, there are some games fans may be expecting to see. With Marvel’s Wolverine coming out this year, that would be a good time to get an update on Sucker Punch’s latest game. Saros and Marathon would be getting close to launching by that point too, so it is possible we’d see new trailers for both of those games.
In terms of a third-party presence, Square Enix and Capcom have a history of showing their games at PlayStation State of Play. Although there are some previously announced games that could make an appearance, like The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales or Pragmata, it would be a nice time to update fans on games like Dragon Quest XII or Kingdom Hearts IV.
This is all speculation, so we will just have to wait and see what is shown when the next PlayStation State of Play airs.
