One of the best hidden gems of 2025 has received a PS5 exclusive update to add support for the console’s recently released feature. Rebellion’s most successful launch to date, Atomfall, is now one of the few games that support PS5’s Power Saver function.

“We have implemented improvements to support PS5 power saver mode,” patch notes for Atomfall update 1.23 read. It doesn’t look like the update does anything else.
As a reminder, once the update is deployed, your Atomfall game tile on PS5 should display an icon that looks like a little leaf.
We’re a bit surprised to see this patch, frankly. The list of games that support PS5’s Power Saver is still pretty small, and dominated by first-party or Sony-published games. In fact, a large number of PS5 first-party exclusives have yet to add support for the feature, but Rebellion has beaten PlayStation Studios.
For the uninitiated, the Power Saver mode reduces PS5’s power consumption while scaling back game performance. The idea, reportedly, is to prepare PS5 games for an upcoming PlayStation handheld.
You can enable the Power Saver function via the PS5 system menu by following these steps: Go to Settings > System > Power Saving > Use Power Saver.
