Confirming rumors, Sony has announced a PlayStation State of Play event for February 2026. Although it sounds promising this time, if recent showcases are any indication, fans should keep their expectations in check.
PlayStation State of Play February 2026 date, time, and length revealed
The State of Play will be broadcast live on Thursday, February 12, at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET. The event will be over an hour long.
Sony has promised “eye-catching third-party and indie games headed to PS5, along with the latest from teams at PlayStation Studios.”
We’re excited to hear that PlayStation Studios will make an appearance, and Sony’s wording suggests that we’ll see the latest from more than one studio. However, we’re unlikely to get any new announcements.
We expect to see Saros and more of Horizon Hunters Gathering, and possibly Marvel’s Wolverine, which Sony has largely kept under wraps. Fans have waiting to see more of the Insomniac Games title, only to be disappointed.
Much of the 60+ minutes is likely to be dedicated to third-party and indies, though, as has historically been the case.
We’ll update our readers when we have more information. As usual, we’ll host the State of Play here on PlayStation LifeStyle, and do a roundup for those who don’t watch the livestream.
