Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the upcoming fighting game from Arc System Works, recently saw some major exciting details emerge ahead of Sony’s February State of Play.
What new information about Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls do we know?
Recently, the Steam page for the upcoming game updated (and has since been edited, with users on ResetEra saving the changes) to reflect new news on the game. In news that is sure to excite fans, Fighting Souls is said to feature an initial roster size of 20 fighters at launch, have a single player mode, and will also allow for up to 64-player lobbies to come together.
“It’s time to build your dream team and break some spirits in blistering 4v4 fighting action. Choose from an expanding roster of 20 iconic Marvel characters at launch, each rendered in a bold new anime-inspired art style and members of their own unique teams of equally impressive heroes and villains,” reads the since-deleted description of the game.
Obviously, fans were quick to assume that the updated Steam page came a bit early. Many theorized that this information is likely to appear at Sony’s planned State of Play on February 12, 2026, which is set to run for over an hour and feature some big news.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls was originally announced last year, during During Sony’s June 2025 PlayStation State of Play. The game will feature a twist on the fighting game genre, and have 4v4 gameplay that alternates between assist-based combat with single characters, and tag-in mechanics as well.
