A highly anticipated PS5 adventure game has finally received a release date from publisher Annapurna Interactive. Announced in June 2024, Mixtape is brought to us by the talented folks at Beethoven & Dinosaur. The game will release on May 7, 2026.

Beethoven & Dinosaur is an award-winning studio known for the indie hit, The Artful Escape (we highly recommend it, if you haven’t played it). Mixtape tells the story of three high school friends who embark on an adventure on their last night of school together.
Like The Artful Escape, Mixtape promises a beautiful presentation and a fantastic soundtrack.
“En route to their final party together, a perfectly curated playlist draws them into dreamlike reenactments of their formative memories,” an official overview reads. “Experience a variety of narrative vignettes exploring the pivotal moments that shaped them. It’s the greatest hits of teenage friendship, from the first kiss to the last dance.”
Mixtape’s soundtrack features music from DEVO, Roxy Music, Lush, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, and more.
