A popular, acclaimed 2013 PS3 and PS4 adventure game may be getting a native PS5 version, according to reports from at least two outlets. It’s a little unexpected, but The Wolf Among Us might land on current-gen platforms before its sequel, possibly to drum up interest.

This rumor comes from Press Over and is corroborated by MP1st with some hard evidence.
In its original report, Argentinian outlet Press Over claimed that a local developer called Trick Studio was co-developing The Wolf Among Us 2, with a reveal and release coming in 2026 and 2027, respectively. In the same report, the outlet claimed that Trick Studio is also developing a current-gen port of The Wolf Among Us.
In its report, MP1st shared images that appear to be a workstation at Trick Studio showing a development build of The Wolf Among Us. The three screenshots spotted on the monitor are scenes as well as the menu screen from the first game.
But that’s not all: folks on Reddit found an archived version of Trick Studio’s website, which lists Telltale Games as a partner since at least March 2025, which aligns with Press Over’s report that a team from Telltale Games visited Trick Studio in 2025.
Now, it’s possible that The Wolf Among Us 1 is being enhanced for the Nintendo Switch, as it’s the only platform that didn’t get the game. But considering the sequel has been in development for a long, long time, it makes sense to re-release the original before following up with part 2.
Take this rumor with a grain of salt until official confirmation.
