Tower of Fantasy PS4 shutting down

PS4 Support Continues to Dwindle as Another RPG Shutting Down

Another major game is ending support for PS4 and shutting down on the platform just three years after launch. Publisher Perfect World has announced that Tower of Fantasy will be delisted from the PS Store in April and will go offline on PS4 later in 2026.

Open world action RPG ending PS4 support and shutting down in October 2026

Tower of Fantasy launched on PS4 and PS5 simultaneously in 2023. Perfect World claims that it has reached a point where platform limitations are severely impacting performance optimization and application size, resulting in its decision to discontinue the last-gen version.

Tower of Fantasy will be delisted on April 7, 2026. At the time of this writing, the game’s PS4 version no longer appears on the web version of the PS Store or the PS App, so those interested in giving it one last go (perhaps, to mop up trophies) will have to download it via the PS4 console’s store.

After April 7, however, you won’t be able to download it at all.

In-game purchases will be disabled on September 22, and servers will go dark on October 20.

Players can carry over their progress and purchased items to Tower of Fantasy’s PS5 version. Make sure your accounts are linked by following the steps outlined by Perfect World on its website.
