Capcom’s New PS5 Action Game Is a Massive Sales Hit

Capcom has had a big 2026 so far, and it’s only gotten bigger, as their latest action release Pragmata has already hit some extremely impressive sales numbers.

What are Pragmata’s sales numbers?

According to Capcom, Pragmata has sold more than 2 million copies in the game’s first 16 days of being available. In a celebratory announcement, Capcom also shared some art to commemorate the news, as well as a video on social media to celebrate.

Pragmata, Capcom’s latest action-adventure game, released in mid-April, and launched to massive praise. On OpenCritic, the game debuted with a score of 87, and 94% of the critics reviewing it recommend the title. Scores for the game range from the high eights to perfect scores across the board, putting the game squarely in the early running for what could be the best game of the year.

The game follows the story of the spacefaring Hugh and android Diana as they work together against an AI that has taken over a space station. Fans have praised it for its storytelling, as well as its unique combat mechanics, which sees players having to hack enemies in real-time as they fight. The relationship between Hugh and Diana has also been one of the high marks of the game that people have touched on.

“On a seemingly lifeless research station located on the moon, spacefarer Hugh and android Diana find themselves targeted by the hostile AI governing the station. The two must work together to defeat the AI and return to Earth,” reads the description of the game.
