Players who are reeling from recent price hikes or simply looking for great deals should prepare for the annual PlayStation Days of Play 2026 sales and community event. Sony’s biggest promotion of the year will kick off within a few weeks at the earliest, bringing discounts on video games, subscriptions like PS Plus, hardware, accessories, and more.
When is PlayStation Days of Play 2026 sales event expected to start?
Days of Play, which was introduced in 2017, always starts towards the end of May or early June. Last year’s event kicked off on May 28, which was the last Wednesday of the month. Based on this pattern, the earliest we expect Days of Play 2026 to start is sometime during the week beginning May 26.
That’s less than three weeks from now!
As usual, Sony’s official Days of Play website is already being updated at the back end. Running a Google search for the event brings up an official webpage titled “Days of Play 2026 | Incredible deals on PS5 games…” but clicking through leads to last year’s end-of-promotion message, thanking fans for taking part in the event.
Perhaps this preparation is why Sony has suddenly nuked the ‘Deals’ tab from the PS Store and isn’t running any promotion for the first time in a while. We’ll find out soon enough and will update our readers when we have all the Days of Play 2026 dates and details.
