A new Warhammer 40,000 game is coming out soon, with publisher Kasedo Games and developer Bulwark Studios announcing its release date.
When does the new Warhammer 40,000 video game come out?
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II, the sequel to the 2018 game of the same name, is set to release on May 21, 2026, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will retail for $39.99 at launch, with a special Omnissiah edition also available that includes a digital artbook, original soundtrack, and in-game legacy soundtrack.
The new game will build upon the turn-based gameplay of its predecessor and throw fans right back into the technological war that’s been raging in the world of Warhammer, this time on either the Adeptus Mechanicus or Necron sides. The sequel also includes new environmental mechanics that allow players to maneuver their forces like never before.
“After millennia of slumber, Vargard Nefershah mobilises her dynasty’s legions to annihilate the Adeptus Mechanicus interlopers who unknowingly settled upon her world. Across the galaxy, Magos Dominus Faustinius is summoned to bring his hard-won expertise to bear and ensure the Necrons do not succeed. The conflict soon becomes a crucible of unanticipated significance, drawing to it external actors stranger and more deadly still,” reads the game’s official description.
A new deep dive video was released alongside the game’s release date. In it, many gameplay mechanics are highlighted, with Kasedo Games also exploring two of the leaders in the game. Check it out below:
