Anticipated Xbox Game’s PS5 Release Date Delayed

One of Xbox‘s most highly anticipated games of the year has been delayed. The title is also set to come to PS5 and sees its date pushed back.

Fable’s highly anticipated release has been pushed back yet again

Playground Games’ upcoming RPG Fable, the first new installment in the Fable franchise since 2012, has been delayed yet again. In a recent post on social media, Xbox confirmed that the game has been pushed back to February 2027. Previously, the game was slated to release in the Fall of 2026, although no strict release date had been given.

In the social media post, Xbox noted that the decision to delay was made “so it can have the dedicated moment it deserves.” The move comes as Xbox currently has a busy holiday slate ahead of them, with titles like Gears of War: E-Day, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and more coming out.

For Fable, this is yet another delay in the long-awaited RPG. The game was originally announced in 2020, and set to release sometime in 2025. That changed to 2026, which has now moved to 2027. The official Fable social media account said that it knows the news isn’t great, but promised fans will be playing the game before long.

In addition to the delay, Fable’s social media accounts also confirmed that more of the game would be shown off during Xbox’s planned showcase on June 7, 2026.
